I have been study the culinary arts since freshman year at high school and I am current a sophomore at Joliet Junior College VWXG\LQJ FXOLQDU\ 5HFHQWO\ , MRLQHG WKH 2IÀFH RI 6WXGHQW $FWLYLWLHV to become more involved on campus and I also help assist helping culinary student get involved as well. Starting in August I will be transferring departments to the culinary department to be a Lab Assistant for Chef Kyle Richardson. I also currently am starting up my own business in which I will be teaching cooking classes to others via zoom.

I will need many skills to succeed in my career path. Technical skills I will need will be proper sanitations skills, knife skills, knowledge of recipes as well as many other cooking skills, I will also need to have computer skills and business management skills.

CTE programs are designed to challenge you to improve. The best thing you can do is try to learn as much as possible. Get involved in any extracurricular programs you can through CTE, it will help you with networking and help you in your future career.
