Maranda Wills

Attended CVS high school and majored in Medical Assistant. After high school I further my education at Western Illinois University and received my Bachelors degree of science in Health Services Management as a major and business as my minor. I interned at Advocate Trinity Hospital while in high school 2013-2014 for Pathway to healthcare and interned again there in 2019 to complete 460 hours to graduate from college.

If given the opportunity do it! Don’t do it just to say you did it but do it for yourself. I call it early networking because you may cross path with someone who you later may need to see again for opportunities and etc. Be passionate. It is not a race or marathon once you start don’t give up.

HOW HAS CTE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE/CAREER?

Health Sciences and Technology

I got the opportunity to intern at Advocate Trinity Hospital and were able to answer patients call lights, check vitals, and just help them if they needed it. I had received my CPR certification and blood borne pathogen. I also went to competition in the health science competition HOSA.
