CAREER PATH
Graduated from Morris Community High School in 2010. While in high school I enrolled in the Early Childhood Development Program at GAVC both my Junior and Senior year. Following that I attended Northern Illinois University where I received my Bachelor ’ s of Science in Family and Child Students with an emphasis in Child Development and sub-emphasis in Parent/ Child Specialist. During my last year at Northern I completed my practicum. I’ve endured much training and education through studies and related job experiences.

Experience working with children and families. Along with communication skills. Communication is key for creating meaningful relationships with both families and staff members. Organization skills and coordinating skills are extremely important when planning for family involvement events.

HOW HAS CTE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE/CAREER? Hands on experiences in the school really impacted me because I was able determine I love the school environment and education was something I was extremely passionate about. Each year in GAVC I was able to choose a grade level of my choice. With that I found out I loved the younger grades.
